McNAUGHTON BUILDER’S PLAN FOR BUILDING A NEW DEVELOPMENT BORDERING CENTENIAL ACRES -NORTH OF US, ON THE MOUNTAIN - IS IN THE FINAL STAGES OF APPROVAL WITH THE TOWNSHIP BOARD OF SUPERVISORS. THE PROPOSED PLAN COULD ADVERSELY IMPACT BOTH THE SAFETY AND VALUES OF EXISTING HOMES, PRIMARILY DUE TO PROPOSED LOCATIONS OF STORM WATER BASINS AND INADEQUATE BUFFER ZONES.

Recently, local residents have asked the Township to approve the plan only if McNaughton agrees to: increase the size of buffer zones; establish an escrow account on the behalf of current residents (in the event of water damage to existing properties); improve safety around the large detention basins; eliminate unnecessary light pollution, and, in general, respect the sensitive environment by minimizing clear-cutting on the mountain. These measures are essential in preserving the current values of existing homes in Centennial Acres and the aesthetics of the neighborhood.

These issues will be discussed during a Lower Paxton Township Board of Supervisors Workshop meeting on Tuesday, September 9, 2008 at 7:00 PM at the Lower Paxton Municipal Center. McNaughton Builders will be participating in the meeting.

We need YOU to attend the meeting and help us make a difference! Once the Board makes a decision, it’s a done deal. YOU DO NOT HAVE TO SPEAK, JUST SHOW UP AND SHOW YOUR SUPPORT!
